Alyssa Marie Hunsaker, 9, of Woodlake, California went to be with her Lord & Savior on April 24, 2019 while under the care of the wonderful doctors and nurses of Children’s Hospital in Madera, California.
Alyssa was born in Visalia, California on October 19, 2009 to William Alan Hunsaker and Elizabeth Palafox Hunsaker.
She loved dancing & listening to loud music. Among her favorite songs were Itsy Bitsy Spider and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Alyssa loved stuffed animals and she had many to love thanks to the generosity of many family and friends. She enjoyed petting animals, especially dogs and cats such as her beloved family’s pets Chip, Strelka, & Smokey the cat.
Alyssa was a beautiful, spunky, funny, happy little girl, whose beautiful smile and eyes could tell you many stories. Alyssa loved challenging her parents and even after her words left her, her eyes communicated every thought and feeling. Her family shares that they needed her as much as she needed them. Alyssa loved her brother Benjamin and couldn’t wait for him to arrive home from school. Alyssa knew without Benjamin’s help & understanding, she couldn’t have been cared for as well as she was. Alyssa was a huge part of their life and she touched everyone she met and drew people to her. She was loving and bright like the sun and everyone revolved around her.
The family requests that guests attending please wear the colors of the rainbow in her memory. (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet)
Alyssa now runs and plays somewhere over the rainbow, leaving those on earth to cherish her memory including; her loving parents Alan and Elizabeth of Woodlake, CA; her brother Benjamin Wyatt Hunsaker of Woodlake, CA; her grandparents Janet and Ed Hunsaker of Orosi, CA and Santos and Genoveva Palafox of Woodlake, CA; many loving extended family and friends who will miss her terribly.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 from 3 – 5 p.m. at Woodlake Presbyterian Church with Celebration of Life Services to follow at 5 p.m. at the church.
