

Amon Eugene Turner, 95, of Tulare, California, passed away on February 23, 2026. He was born August 15, 1930, in Oklahoma. A faithful, hard-working, resilient, Godly man with a poetic spirit, Amon will be remembered for the steady way he lived and the love he gave to those around him.
Amon always excelled in school and especially loved writing poems—an interest that reflected his thoughtful nature and the quiet care he brought to everyday life.
He worked at Real Fresh for 30 years and retired in 1992. Later he worked for Saputo Cheese for 20 years, continuing to show the diligence and reliability that defined him throughout his life.
Amon was married to Sharon Turner for 50 years. He is survived by his daughter, Sissi Sharon Coker. Amon was preceded in death by his father, Jewel; his mother, Denver; his sisters, Ruby and Fern; his brother, Roy; his grandson, T.C.; and his great-grandson, Shane.
Amon gave generously of his time, volunteering at the Girls and Boys Club. He also served as a Sunday school teacher and youth Pastor, living out his faith through service and guidance to others.
He lived by honesty and Godly morals, and he loved his family deeply. The family is grateful for all the love and support shown during this time.
Amon’s famous words remain a fitting reflection of his life and character: “He left the wood pile higher than he found it.”
