Consuelo was a resident of Visalia, California. Consuelo was born in Chianti, Texas, one of seven children born to Alberto and Consuelo Dominguez. Preceded in death by her parents and sisters Maria, Anita, Josephina, and Mena in heaven. Survived by two siblings her sister Lupe and brother Jesus.
She was married to her beloved husband Federico C Garcia for 69 years, who passed away February 2, 2016. They had six children. She is preceded in death by sons, Dr. Fernando (Miriam) Garcia who passed away July 2020, Hector Garcia who passed away March 1973. Survived by son Fred Garcia and three daughters Maria Elena (Bob) Ortiz, Yolanda (Dr. Robert) Beltran and Elizabeth (Richard) Morales. She was an adored and cherished grandma to 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Consuelo was a homemaker and worked many years as a seamstress in the bridal department at JC Penny. She loved playing cards and going to the casinos. Her hobbies were reading God’s words, crafts, working in her garden, sewing and crocheting. She made beautiful baby blankets, tablecloths, table doilies, scarfs, unique hats and the list goes on. She was a great cook and even made homemade cheese, in her early years. She was a devoted Catholic woman and member of the Holy Family Catholic Church where she sang in the choir, was a member of The Cursillistas, member of Las Guadalupanas Society, a Marriage Encounter mentor and participated in bible studies.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother who was totally devoted to her family. To say she will be missed by many is a huge understatement. Our lives will never be the same. She will live in our hearts forever.
