He grew up in Visalia, CA and was part of the first graduating class of Mt. Whitney High School in 1954. In 1965 he married the love of his life, Mary Lou McNearney from Tulare, with whom he would spend the rest of his life. He had a forty-five plus year career in the window covering business, running Dan’s Drapery just off Mooney Blvd. Danny was a hard-working man who could fix or repair about anything. He was a kind hearted man who never shied from a conversation with anyone. He was a man of exceptional faith and attended First Baptist Church (later Gateway Church) for 70 years.
Danny’s greatest love (besides his family) was “playing cars!” Restoring them was his passion and over the years he restored many. He loved going to car shows and visiting with old friends. All of his buddies knew to stop and visit when the garage doors were up, which was most of the time.
Danny was predeceased by his mother, father and brother. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Lou, his son Daren and his wife Rosemary, daughter Jill Scott and her husband Jason, his Sister-In-Law Anita Lynch, three grandchildren, Jordyn Lynch, Zachary, and Sophia Scott, all of whom he adored, as well as numerous nephews and niece.
Danny will be remembered as being a gentle, kind, patient and considerate man. He will be greatly missed by all those that loved him and for those privileged to know him.
His family would like to sincerely thank his caregivers at Magnolia Park for the loving and compassionate care for Danny, our beloved father, husband and friend.
A Graveside Service will be held at the Visalia Cemetery on Friday, February 3rd at 10:30 AM. Arrangements by Miller Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.millerchapel.com for the Lynch family.
