Deyetta Gaytan

She was a loving mother, sister and grandmother. She worked many years as a housekeeper at Visalia Convalescent Hospital and Linwood Gardens. In her free time, she loved knitting blankets for all her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed planting flowers and working in her garden.

Deyetta was a member of the Wukchumni and Choinumni Yokut tribe.

She was involved in various Native American programs over the years, including one where she was able to teach others her own native language.

She is survived by her children Lorrine (Andres) Martinez, Alonzo Gaytan, Henrietta and Robert Ordonez and Carlos and Teresa Guzman. Deyetta had numerous grandchild, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her children Edward, Bernold Ignacio, Noah Ignacio and Anita Gaytan. Her two brothers and a number of grandchildren.

Services will be held Wednesday at Miller Memorial Chapel from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Thursday at Holy Family Church 10 a.m.
