I attended the service in Santa Barbara. As a neighbor to the Porter family in Torrance much of my pre-high school youth was spent in the company of Brad, Bart and James along with their mom and dad. Dr Porter was always a kind man. I remember him with pipe in mouth always busy around the yard. We enjoyed the macadamia nuts from the tree in the yard and playing in the oil fields nearby. Dr. or Mr. Porter would drive us to school many times over the years. Recently I passed thru Visalia to visit the marker. Lots of good memories of a special family and a very special dad for the boys.

Our love and condolences with the passing of Tad, our friend and colaborer with Christ. His indomitable spirit, cheerful demeanor and gentle manner will remain with us forever.
