Gerald (Jerry) Fortunato Armi went home to his heavenly Father on September 28, 2022. Jerry was born August 10, 1926 in Hanford California. He was the third son born to F. P. Armi and Aurelie Plumel Armi. Jerry spent his teenage years in Fresno California where he attended and graduated from Fresno Tech High School. He was student body Vice President and played Center on the varsity football team. Because of this, he was one of few men that attended Fresno State during the war. After leaving college Jerry began working for Electric Lab in Fresno. During this time, he met his wife Mary Lindgren on a blind date and they were married October 11, 1946. Their happy union last 68 years ending when Mary passed away in 2014.
In 1961 Jerry moved his family to Visalia and began working for Automotive Parts and eventually became a salesman for Central Valley Distributors in Tulare. Jerry spent a total of 50 years in the auto parts business, retiring in 1992.
Jerry was an avid golfer belonging to Sierra View Golf Course until he and Mary became members of the Visalia Country Club. During this time Jerry achieved 2 hole-in-ones. He was also a member of the Elks Club and Sons of Italy.
During his retirement, Jerry found great joy in attending his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren’s activities, whether watching them perform in a play, baseball game, or soccer game.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, F. P. and Aurelie Armi, his brothers, George and Robert Armi, and his beloved wife, Mary Armi.
