Gregorio Gonzalez, Jr., passed away at the age of 50 on September 15, 2022 in Woodlake, California. He was born on June 15, 1972 in Pacoima, California to Hildelisa Gonzalez and Gregorio Gonzalez, Sr. He attended Woodlake High School and graduated in 1990. After high school, Gregorio attended the College of Sequoias for his Associate of Arts Degree with a major in Liberal Arts and History. He then attended the California State University of Fresno for his Bachelor of Arts Degree. Gregorio did one year in Master’s program for Social Work & later worked at Woodlake Family Resource Center for about 20 years; starting off as a social worker and then changed positions the last few years to the director of the program. Gregorio also was a member of the Woodlake City Council for 12 years. Two of those 12 Gregorio was the Vice Mayor of Woodlake, CA. As he attended C.O.S, Gregorio met his wife 1993, Rosalinda Gonzalez. They got engaged on February 14, 1995, which then led to their marriage on May 17, 1997 at St. Francis Cabrini Church in Woodlake, California. About two years later Gregorio and Rosalinda started their family and had three beautiful children together Gregorio Gonzalez, III, Mia Lupita Gonzalez, and Sebastian Gonzalez.
Gregorio's hobbies consist of playing basketball, football, baseball, and anything related to sports, which he was in support of. He loved coaching, especially his own children. Gregorio loved all music but mostly rap. He loved helping his community. Gregorio was named "Man of the Year," including many other awards from the city and migrant programs. An organization, he was very fond of was his community; anything and everything that had to do with Woodlake, he was there.
Gregorio leaves behind his loving wife, Rosalinda Gonzalez; his children, Gregorio Gonzalez III, Mia Gonzalez, and Sebastian Gonzalez; his father, Gregorio Gonzalez, Sr., his grandmother, Lucia “Amachia” Diaz Sanchez; his brothers, Jaime Gonzalez, Guadalupe Gonzalez (Lena Gonzalez) and his nieces & nephews, Gregorio Gonzalez, Naila Gonzalez, Emiliano Gonzalez, Harmony Gonzalez, Priscilla Gonzalez, Araceli Gonzalez, and Cesar Gonzalez.
Memorial Service will be held on October 27, 2022 at 11:00 am Miller Memorial Chapel 1120 West Goshen Avenue, Visalia, California and a Rosary with Memorial Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, address 417 N E St, Exeter, CA 93221 on October 28, 2022 at 11:00AM.
