Leah was born in Glendale, California on February 11, 1938 to Roy William and Myrtle Pound. Her family moved to Visalia when she was a small child where she was raised and educated, graduating from Visalia Union High School with the Class of 1955. In March of 1956, Leah married Ellis Leroy Hoffman in Las Vegas, Nevada. They made their home in Visalia where they raised their children, Bob and Debbie. Leah was of Christian faith. She worked as an Administrative Assistant in the medical field for over 30 years. Leah’s greatest enjoyment was her children and her family. She enjoyed crocheting, latch hook, cross stitching and needlepoint. Leah was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling with Ellis in the motorhome. She was very optimistic and always looked positively at life. Leah looked for the best side of everyone, no matter who they were. Her children remember her always being there and being their best cheerleader. She will be greatly missed.
Leah leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Bob Hoffman and Debbie Young, both of Visalia; two grandchildren Mallory Young and Brandon Hoffman and three great grandchildren Kaylee, Cheyenne and Olivia.
