Ludora Ann McGee

Ludora Ann McGee was born April 22, 1935 to Howard and Inez Yates in Osceola, Nebraska. She had two older brothers, Joe, and Russel. After graduating from Osceola High School, she worked at the high school in neighboring Fairbury, Nebraska. When Reedley (CA) College opened, many of the staff at Fairbury High School moved to California to work at the college; she followed a little later, in 1956. In 1958 she moved to Dinuba, CA and worked at Dinuba High School.

Allen and Ludora were married June 18, 1960 and made their home in Long Beach, CA where he attended Cleveland Chiropractic College. Their two children were born while they lived in Long Beach. In the summer of 1966, the family moved to Dinuba where Allen began practicing Chiropractic. They remained in Dinuba until Allen retired, at which time they moved to Visalia, CA.

Ludora’s parents, brother Russel and nephew Tim Yates preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband Allen of Visalia, CA; son Mark and his wife Kristine and children Chadd and Brayden of Blackfoot, ID; daughter Marla Parish of Visalia, CA and her children Jessica and Jason, and Jessica’s son Ethan. She is also survived by her brother Joe of Elizabeth, CO and his children Joline Yeager, Michael Yates, and Steven Yates. She also leaves many friends.

A celebration of life for Ludora will be held Friday, April 22, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 West Goshen Avenue, Visalia, California. A graveside service will occur Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Visalia Public Cemetery, 1300 West Goshen Avenue, Visalia, California.
