She was born to Chester and Norma Shippey on January 1, 1939. After graduating from Mt. Whitney high school, Marian went to COS then started her carrier at Galante's, Inc. Grading & Paving as a bookkeeper. Marian then moved on to Buckman Mitchell Insurance Company where she worked for 40 years. It was during that time that she meet her husband Leonard Francis Cote. Together, they had 3 sons: Steve, Mark, and Mitchell Cote who then married three lovely women Terri, Debbie and Melinda Cote. Marian ended with a total of 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Marian loved spending time with her friends at the coast, working on the ranch with Leonard, traveling with close friends, playing board games, and spoiling her grandchildren.
A grave side funeral service is scheduled for 12 pm on April 1st, 2024 at the Visalia Public Cemetery with a Celebration of life directly following at Bello Vita (The old Son's of Italy Hall) 4211 W Goshen Avenue Visalia CA 93291 . In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Visalia Rescue Mission at 741 N Santa Fe St, Visalia, CA 93292.
Serving as pallbearers are Chad Cote, Mitchele Cote, Chris Epperson, Robert Delmelo, Cayden Epperson, Audyn Epperson, Landon Fernandez, James Goldstein and Adam Ostergren.
