Michael D. Galatro was born on October 20,1950 to Joseph and Antonietta Galatro. Michael went to be with Our Lord on December 26, 2020. He was raised in Visalia. Michael graduated from George McCann School in 1964 and graduated from Redwood High School in1968. He was in the military for a short time.
Michael returned to Visalia where he worked at several jobs.
During most of his life he was plagued by mental illness and the related effects of this dreaded illness. Michael was in multiple hospitals and care homes. He always remained especially close to his brother, Mario. Michael phoned every week and discussed many of the old days and current things that were going on.
My family would like to especially thank and recognize Autumn Oaks Residential Care Facility in Porterville. Michael was well cared for and enjoyed the company of many close friends.
Michael is survived by his brother, Mario and wife Lynn of Visalia; his sister Rose Ann Rialon and husband John of Lebanon, PA; nieces Dr. Kristy Rialon MD of Houston, TX and Rebecca Rialon-Berry PhD of Scarsdale, NY. Also surviving are family members in Bakersfield, Los Banos, Merced, Italy, Brazil and Venezuela.
