

Paul Phillip Scozzola, of Visalia, CA passed away on December 29, 2023. He was born on March 25, 1934 in Chicago, IL. He graduated from Steinmetz High School in Chicago and soon after moved with his mother and grandmother to Burbank, CA. Paul served in the United States Army from 1956-1963.
Paul retired from the United States Postal Service in 1989 after 30 years of service. In 1992 Paul moved to Visalia where he met and married the love of his life, Susan M. Scozzola, on May 2, 1998. He was a member of the Visalia chapter of Sons of Italy.
Paul adored his wife Susan like no other and was a loving son, father, grandfather and brother. He had a passion for 1950’s rock and roll and old radio programs. Paul had the gift of gab and never met a stranger he didn’t like. He had a million stories and the family loved to sit around and listen to every one of them, even if they’d already heard it before.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Susan; his children, Susan Palmisano (Joe), Karen Doyle (Tom), Angela Rasmussen, and step-daughter Shelly Rager (Alan); grandchildren, Jeremy Duffey (Michelle), Giavanna Palmisano, Michael Mitchell (Lauren), Matthew Mitchell (Chelsea) and Leann Castellanos (Nic) as well several great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Charlie Rizzo (Erin), and his nephew Scott Scozzola (Heather). He was preceded in death by his mother Angeline, father Phillip and brother Phil.
A memorial service will be held at Miller Memorial Chappel at 1120 W. Goshen Ave., Visalia, CA 93291 on Friday, February 16, 2024 at 3:00 p.m.
