Salvador (Sal) Torres, Sr., was born in Yuma, Arizona on February 8, 1941 to Salvador and Margarita Torres and passed away on December 20, 2018. He completed his schooling in Hanford, California where he met his wife of 57 years, Margaret Rodriguez.
Sal had a successful business in petroleum in Visalia before retiring in 2010.
Sal is survived by his wife, Margaret, his children, John S. Torres, Jr. and his wife Sonjia, Stephanie, and Renee. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kristina, Sal, Vincente, Chad, Danielle, Victoria, Jamie and Sami and his great grandchildren John David, Arlo, Logan and Layla. Sal is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Susan.
Visitation will be held at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Avenue in Visalia on Sunday, December 30, 2018 from 3 – 6 p.m. with Rosary beginning at 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 11 a.m. also at Miller Memorial Chapel of Visalia. Burial will follow at Visalia Public Cemetery.
