I love you grampa. Will miss you dearly. Thank you for all the great memories' I will hold close to my heart.

Dad was a very special man.  There are lots of things I could say, but to keep it short I would just like to state a couple of things he taught us as kids.

The first thing I would say would be love your family above all else.  Only your wife is more important than your kids.  She should be your best friend as well as spouse.

Secondly, be self-reliant.  Don't count on anything out of this life that you don't work for and, while it is okay to accept help during your life, do not learn to be reliant on others or become a burden to others.

Third.  Be kind to all.  You may not agree with someone over something, but listen to their point of view and do not condemn them for that view.  That is for a power greater than us.

Fourth.  You are as good as anyone else.  Don't let people bring you down with words because all they are is words.

Remember these things and your life will be better and happier.
