Sherry, I cannot believe another year has passed since you left.  I think about you so much!!  I miss your laugh, your wicked sense of humor, I miss venting to you, I miss our marathon talks, I miss hearing your crazy stories...I MISS YOU SO MUCH, HOOKER!!!!!

I went to Highschool with Sherry and in the early 2000  my nieces were coached by Tammy for  cheerleading. My condolences to the 6.

Erik and family, I’ve had a week to try to come up with words to give you comfort and I now know there are no words to be found to lessen the pain one feels for a loss as great as Sherry.  I miss her every single day and no one will ever be able to replace her.  

My husband Wade met her first and from his first day in that office he absolutely adored her.   He had mad respect for her work ethic and loved her sense of humor.   Within the first three minutes of my finally meeting her, I saw why Wade adored her so much and I knew she and I would be partners in crime in no time! 

I have so much I want to say to each of you so a letter will follow this brief online message.

One thing that was certain if you spent any time with Sherry was you knew how fiercely she loved her family.  Her tribe.  Erik, you were unquestionably her soul mate, her best friend.  She loved you beyond words, adored you, and her respect for you was unending.  You absolutely completed her. 

Megan and Steven…oh how fiercely she loved you both.   She was so deeply proud of who you had both become.  You were absolutely her pride and joy.   Jared and Jessie, she loved you both long before vows were exchanged.  You were part of her tribe and would always be, she was sure of it.

I miss my friend terribly.  I will forever treasure our heartfelt talks, our crazy days, the unending belly laughs and every single minute I was blessed to have spent with her.  She is irreplaceable.  She was a dear friend, an absolutely crazy lady who was loyal to a fault and who loved fiercely.  No one could make me laugh like she could.  I will never ever forget her and I will think of her always.  

My heart breaks for your family’s loss.  But if I know Sherry, she is watching over each one of you and always will until you meet again… 

Thank you so much for sharing all the wonderful photos of Sherry and your family…  Wade and I enjoyed seeing them very much.  We will keep you in our prayers.

When I think about Sherry I think about fun and laughter. My crazy and loveable cousin. She was filled with an adventurous and bright spirit that drew you in. If you knew she was going on vacation or attending the family gathering with you, you knew you were going to have a really good time. She never took herself too seriously and always had your back and best interest at heart. I am saddened to know that this bright light was dimmed too early, but so fortunate that I got 40 years with her to build memories that can be passed down to those whose time with her was taken away.

Erik, Megan and Steven, like so many others, I was shocked to hear the tragic news that Sherry was no longer with us.  Sherry was one of the most happy, fun loving, bright, cheerful, wild and crazy, outgoing and caring people I have ever met.  When I was around Sherry, whether it be in the office, at a work event or at a BBQ somewhere (even if she did allow Erik to toss me into a pool fully clothed), we never failed to have the absolute best times together.  I will forever remember all of the jokes we shared, all of the times that we tried to figure out a way I could sneak into Holland in her suitcase...Sherry was a special friend, we always were able to pick up where we left off even if months had passed.  Sherry never failed to make me smile and many times literally laugh until I cried....there are so many things I will always remember about her, but the thing I will remember most is the huge amount of love and pride she had for each of you.  Her family meant the world to her and when she talked to me about you guys, she always beamed with pride...I can only imagine her with her beautiful granddaughter.  Sherry was truly a one of a kind person and I am so grateful that I was lucky enough to know her.

My thoughts and prayers are with each of you, I cannot begin to imagine the loss your family is feeling.  I know her legacy will live on through each of you and I know that my friend will forever hold a special place in my heart and in my memories as she will for countless others...

Sherry worked in our Caltrans office and she was always willing to help us to do our work better and to provide what we needed.  Some time back the rest of the people in our office were able to receive orange Caltrans sweat shirt hoodies with the required reflective stripes.  We surveyors were from another unit and we ran into snags in getting the sweatshirts.  Sherry knew we wanted them so she worked tirelessly to figure a way for us to get them and she worked it out.   She derived some satisfaction in working through the red tape and we have been appreciative of wearing those sweatshirts to keep warm.  They will serve as a reminder of Sherry.   Adrian

It's so sad that you left us so early. We will always miss you. There isn't a day coming by when I am not thinking about you. It hurts my heart every single day when I think about you, passing away so young. You were always so cheerful and happy. You were that person that was always ready to help someone else. We had great times together in the car, on vacation or just at home. I wish I got to show you so much more of Holland. Aunt Sherry I always loved you and always will. You made a real positive impact on the family and friends around you.
