Simona Gonzales Hernandez

Simona was born in Texas where she lived until a teenager when the family moved to Carlsbad, New Mexico. She lived there until 1961 when they moved to Goshen. She was a homemaker, loved going to St. Thomas Church and being with her family. Her husband, Manuel, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children: Salome Hernandez, Visalia, Josepha Navarrette, Carlsbad, NM, Nellie Romero, Tulare, Jesse Hernandez, Jose Hernandez and Gino Hernandez, all of Goshen, and Elfida Abila, Visalia; brother, Pedro Gonzalez, Carlsbad, NM; sister, Manuela Araujo, Clovis, NM; 41 grandchildren; 113 great-grandchildren; and 95 great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Maria Pedroza and a son, Apolonio Hernandez.

The Holy Rosary will be held on Thursday, August 5th, 6:30 p.m. at Miller Memorial Chapel with Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, August 6th, 10:00 a.m., St. Thomas Church, Goshen. Graveside services at Visalia District Cemetery following.

Visitation is being held at Miller Memorial on Thursday 2-6:30 p.m.
