GASTON – Funeral services for Connie Salyer, 71, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel, with interment to follow in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to GPS Food Bank, PO Box 487, Gaston, SC 29053.
Mrs. Salyer was born February 23, 1947 in Columbia, SC, and passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2018. She was a daughter of the late James W. and Levern Byers Scott. She was employed as a bus driver and teacher’s aide for Lexington School District #2.
Mrs. Salyer is survived by her daughter, Sharlene Vitalie of Tampa, FL, and son, Scott Salyer (Lulena) of Gaston, SC. She was predeceased by her husband, Thurman Salyer and sister, Carol Scott.
