

Mrs. Frances Jaco McCurdy of Lexington, SC passed away on October 3, 2025. Born on January 19, 1944, Frances was the daughter of the late Iveral Lee and Annie Neely Jaco. She grew up in Olympia and graduated from Olympia High School. She had a successful career as a District Sales Manager for Avon for over 20 years achieving the “Circle of Excellence” 7 times. After she retired, she worked for Home Instead, caring for others which she did so well.
Frances was an active member of Mt. Horeb Methodist Church and a previous member of Cayce United Methodist Church for over 50 years where she served in many roles. Her faith was not just professed—it was lived. Whether facing personal loss, offering comfort to others, or standing firm in her convictions, Frances navigated each season with resilience and grace. She made everyone feel special and loved through her kindness, compassion and generosity. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but her spirit lives on in every life she touched.
Frances is survived by her husband of 63 years, Donald McCurdy; her son, Chris (Lisa) McCurdy and numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves many close friends who will miss her. She was preceded in death by her three brothers and eight sisters who she loved so much.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th at 11:00 at Mt. Horeb Methodist Church (1205 Old Cherokee Road, Lexington, SC) with a service to follow at 12:00. Burial will be at Celestial Memorial Gardens (3111 Delree St., West Columbia) following the service.
