To George and his wonderful family;
I have worked with George at the Dorn VA hospital sense 2012. He was a wonderful man in so many ways! He helped me navigate the VA in a simple way such that I have no way to explain how much he meant to me. I loved him as a wonderful, caring person and as a father figure. George was such a great person. He loved everyone and especially his family. His conversations with the veterans here at the Dorn VA were of great comfort and helped the vet's to get well as they observed this wonderful man take care of their needs, medically and mentally. there will never be anyone like George to me. My father passed in 2006 and George was my adopted dad. I was off work when he went to meet our lord and no one at work ever told me when I returned to work. I am truly sorry for missing his funeral. I did not know or else I would have been there. I feel as if I am part of his family and I miss his stories. My love and prayers reach out to all of you and I miss him every day! Love and strength to all of you always. Please feel free to call me if you ever need anything.

George, you have been my friend for 33 years at work. You missed me after your first retirement you came back. You came to see me many times after your final retirement. I could write a book of the things we have been through but most of all your stories. You were a big part of my life. You called me son-like and I took that with honor. I loved you George and always wanted to make you proud. Enjoy your family and all the friends you lost. God makes no mistakes, we know this . George, you always brought a smile to my face and I will miss you dearly.  It was an honor to know you and work with you.

It was an honor to work with George at the VA for 30 years. He was always so kind to all Veterans, treating them all like brothers, rather than only patients. He was such a fatherly figure towards us; but, he loved his family above all. Prayers offered for his entire family. He was loved and he will be missed.
