Guy Clarence Quarles, 78, of West Columbia passed away on Saturday November 22,2025. He was born in Modoc, South Carolina on June 21,1947. Guy Clarence Quarles was the son of late Clarence Quarles and Marjorie Quarles Wood.
He retired from Duralane Gas and Sunbird Boat Company. He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy and attended West Side Holiness Church in West Columbia. His faith in Jesus was stead fast with a gentle spirit and he would always pray for you and others. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, working on his vehicles and in his yard.
He is survived by his son, Michael Quarles; daughters, Jacqueline Hoover and Vickie Tager; grandchildren, Randall, Connie, Christopher, Christy and Brandon; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; his beloved wife, Betty Sue Quarles; daughter, Connie Quarles; two sisters, Elizbeth Q. Fleatcher and Bonnie J Fearing; brother, Troy E. Wood and grandson, Allen Quarles.
A visitation will be held at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home - West Columbia Chapel, located at 820 West Dunbar Road, West Columbia, SC 29170, on November 29, 2025, starting at 11:00 AM, with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM. Burial will take place after the service at Southland Memorial Gardens.
