Mr. Kirby worked as a machinist for Columbia Tool and Dye.
He is survived by his wife, Lila Kirby; four-legged daughter, Dixie; daughter, Belinda Marsh (Joey); grandchildren, Cody Layton, Brandon Marsh; step grandchildren, Bryan, CJ, Ashton, Rylee, Coy, Julian; stepdaughters, Crystal Howard, Teresa Layton; stepson, Doug Layton, Jr.; sisters, Elsie Davis, Christine Vencill, Janice Mooney and brothers, Hinnant and William Kirby. He was predeceased by his step granddaughter, Savannah Winters.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 16, 2021 at the funeral home with interment to follow in Southland Memorial Gardens.
