LEXINGTON – A memorial service for John W. Zimmerman, 64, will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at 3:00 pm, at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Palmetto Health Foundation, Cancer Center, 1600 Marion Street Columbia, SC 29201.
Mr. Zimmerman passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2012. Born on June 19, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of the late Evelyn N. Earley and James L. Zimmerman. He was self-employed as a Master Electrician and owned Zimmerman Electric Company.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Tinsley Zimmerman of Lexington; a son, John W. Zimmerman, II of Lexington; two daughters, Tracey (Melvin) Roakes of Columbia and Tonya Zeagler of Wagner; four grandchildren, Peyton Roakes, Breyden and Austin Zeagler and Taylor Zimmerman; one great-grandson, Rhyder; one sister, Janice (Leighton) Hiott of West Columbia; one brother, James Walter Zimmerman; an aunt, Doris James and former son-in-law, Scott Zeagler.
