Jon passed away suddenly on February 9, 2020. Jon was born April 8, 1980, and he leaves behind many loving family members. He leaves behind his mama, Donna Sue and stepdad, Wayne; his father, Eddie and stepmother, Cindy; three brothers and a sister, Talon (Emily), Russell (Kayla), Josh (Joanna), and Jessica. Jon also leaves behind his Grandma Watts, Betty Sue, and grandmother, Louise Croll along with aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Most of all, Jon leaves behind an amazing daughter, Jasmine, who he bragged on every chance he got.
Jon was far from perfect, but he loved his family, and family was very important to him. He never met a stranger, and could talk to anyone that would listen.
Jon enjoyed all sports, especially if the Carolina Gamecocks were playing. He was so competitive and loyal; he made it easy to talk about anything Carolina. He loved fishing, but he never got to go as much as he wanted, and he liked yard work; just didn’t like doing it. He had the best “bad” excuses to get out of doing it. Looking back, it can’t help but make you smile.
Jon can rest in peace with all his loved ones who have passed away and doesn’t have to worry about life’s pain anymore. Jon Buck Fowler might not have had the best life, but he did have the best heart. He will be missed tremendously, especially his smile.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2020 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel.
