Linda Caudle, of West Columbia, age 77, passed away on April 19, 2024. Linda was born on January 15, 1947 to the late Harold A. Schofield and Clair Wyatt Schofield in Newark, NJ. Linda moved to South Carolina at 5 years old where she remained and raised her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Beth (Gene) Peeples of Lexington and her (grand) daughter, Lorna Elders of West Columbia; her stepsons, Robbie Caudle, Jeffrey Caudle and Michael Caudle; her grandchildren, James (Ashley) Peeples of Moncks Corner, Tiffany Belton of Clinton, Amber Peeples of Lexington, Katlin Peeples of Lexington, Devon Peeples of West Columbia, Brenda Peeples of Cayce, and Dalton (Savannah) Peeples of Wagner; and her granddaughter-in-love, Jasmine Gable. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren who always provided lots of entertainment and joy: Taylynn, Aria, Hunter, Olivia, Channing, Tanner, Michael, Waeland, Jackson, Nala, Wyatt, Elijah, Charlie, Jade, Elizabeth Ann, Linda Clarice, LT and Steve.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Byron Caudle; her daughter, Teresa Blizzard-Clevenger; and her stepson, Kelvin Caudle. She will be missed greatly by her long-time friends Jean Welch, Betty Kinlaw and Anna Stanberry, also referred to as “The Golden Girls.”
Pallbearers will be Hunter Peeples, Brian Hensley, Justin Jenkins, Craig Busby, Tony Agrippa, and Hanser Silverio. Honorary pallbearers will be Channing Stanfill, Tanner Peeples, Michael Peeples, Josh Vivan, and Aaron Bradstreet.
Linda was a long-time member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in West Columbia where she served as an alter guild, bereavement committee member, and a member of the Priscilla Circle. She loved her church family, especially the ladies in her circle. Linda retired from the food service industry. After retiring from Kroger, she went back to work at Three Rivers Behavioral Health and South Lake Village. Linda enjoyed loving on others by cooking for them and opening her home to those in need. She also had a love for animals and was always feeding the random cats and dogs that made their way onto her property.
Linda will be honored on Wednesday, April 24th at Emmanuel Lutheran Church at 2491 Emanuel Church Rd, West Columbia, SC 29170. Friends and family will gather for viewing and visitation at 3:00 pm followed by a service at 4:00 pm. Burial will immediately follow the service.
