He enjoyed a life-long career in the flooring industry. He started in flooring sales in 1970 and was the owner of Capitol Flooring, Inc for 23 years, where he retired. He also pastored Bethany Baptist Church for 5 years.
He loved dove hunting and studying the Bible. He never met a stranger and had the gift of selling. He was always selling something - he could sell ice to an Eskimo.
He is survived by his wife, Eula Owens Hightower; daughter, Rhonda Parrish (Mike); son, Torrey Hightower (Crystal); grandchildren Reid Hightower, Ross Hightower and Hannah Parrish; brother Dean Hightower; and many nieces and nephews.
Ralph was predeceased by his parents, Hardy E. Hightower and Helen Hightower, and brother Ted Hightower.
Visitation will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home – West Columbia Chapel, 820 West Dunbar Road, West Columbia, SC 29170, with a funeral service to follow at 3:00 PM. Burial will take place after the service at Southland Memorial Gardens.
