LEXINGTON - Last Thursday, October 29, 2015 we lost a great hunter, fisherman and general outdoorsman. Stephen Rodney Smith left this world way too early to be with our Almighty Father in heaven. Rodney suffered a heart attack while up in the mountains of Oconee County, SC doing what he loved, bear hunting.
Born April 21, 1966, Rodney was the son of the late Duffie Lee Smith, Jr. and Joye Risinger Smith.
Rodney is survived by his mother, Joye, and his brother, Van Smith, his wife, Jana and their son, Ryan.
A celebration of Rodney’s life will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the old Harmon’s Tree Farm facility at 3152 Augusta Road, Gilbert, SC 29054.
