For years Tara was an active member at Dunns’ Chapel Church and the South Congaree community. Tara was the oldest daughter of Paul “Tar” and Martha “Babe” Outlaw.
Tara is survived by her husband, Marion “Pedro” Spires; son, Brad (Shelley) Marchant; father, Paul “Tar” Outlaw; sister, Pattie (John) Outlaw Beerman; brother, Rex (Michelle) Outlaw; sister- in-laws, Robin Outlaw, Marilyn Spires Shull, and Mary Gayle (Grant) Doyle; brother-in law, Michael “Dicky” (Nena) Spires; step-sisters, Cindy (Jim) Prather and Ruth Kneece; step-brothers, Robert and Andy Kneece; former daughter-in-law, Brooke Spires; grandchildren: London Spires and his mother, Kaley Hair, Mallory and Toby Marchant, Cadence Collins, Kinsley, Mattox, Ryland and Pierce Spires; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Tara is predeceased by her mother, Martha “Babe” Outlaw; her son, Matthew Laval Spires; her brother, Leslie “Les” Outlaw; mother-in-law, Dixie Smith; stepmother, Joanne Outlaw; grandparents, George Earl “Big Daddy” and Letha “Big Mama” Outlaw, and Claud “Pappy” and Iva “Grandmother” Gipson.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Dunn’s Chapel Church, 281 Chapel Road, West Columbia, SC 29172, with a visitation to place one hour prior to the service.
