Steve was the meaning of true; in regards to his faith, his family and his fellow man.  I will miss his voice and his strength on this earth.  He is a true friend of mine.

I knew Steve at Irmo. He was friends with my brother, Ross, 'Bubba' Broom. He along with several others spent many hours at our house. Said to see him go, what a fine man he grew to be. I know he will be missed.

Our hearts go out to you at this time and in the days ahead. Steve and I have been freinds for 26 years, he taught me the meaning of what a true friend can be. You will be missed.I will remember the memories and the trust you shared over the years.

Those who are grieving find comfort in knowing that Steve brought joy into the lives of all he touched.  I have only known Steve for a few years, but he set the standard for which all should live by.  You will be missed my friend.

There is not a minute that goes by that my heart is not breaking in two.  Steve was not only my hero, but was the Rock in our family.  He always had a way of taking care of things and making everything ok.  He took care of my mother as if she were his own.  I will be forever grateful for all he did for her and our family. I consider myself privledged to have been his  sister-in-law and to have had him in our family for 37 years.  I always envied and admired the relationship he had with my sister and their 3 beautiful daughters.  Steve was THE BEST MAN I'VE EVER KNOWN.  He will be greatly missed.  Go rest high on that mountain, Steve, until we meet again!
