

Angelina (Ochoa) DeYoung, age 85, passed away on March 27, 2026. Born April 5, 1940, in Waco, Texas,to Luther and Frances Ochoa. Angelina lived in Waco, Texas, and was a generous, faithful, cherished, devoted, kind-hearted, adventurous, hard-working, selfless, and humorous woman whose presence brought comfort and strength to those who knew her. After this introduction, she will be lovingly remembered as Angel.
A steady and hard-working provider, Angel was employed at Owens Illinois Glass Plant for over 25 years.
Angel married the love of her life, Roger DeYoung, on November 1, 1957, and they celebrated over 48 wonderful years together until his passing on November 14, 2005. Together, they raised five children and built a home centered on devotion, faithfulness, and deep care for family.
Angel was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roger DeYoung; brothers Joe and Freddy; and sisters Sheila, Lois, and Rita. She is survived by brother Mike and sister Gloria.
Angel is also survived by her children: Ricky DeYoung; Steve DeYoung; Marie Kunkel and husband Billy; Denise DeYoung; and Randy DeYoung and wife Michelle.
She is survived by her grandchildren: Brittany Lalla and husband JR; Hannah DeYoung; Tricia Hunt; Kyle Bailey; Chris Kunkel and wife Katen; Billy Reid; Dustin Hennig; Tiffany Hennig; Devon DeYoung and wife Malley; Taylor Hickey and husband Nathan; along with many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Angel’s favorite past time was spending time with her family, tending her beautiful flower garden, and, with a touch of her trademark humor, pulling the handle on the slot machines.
Two of Angel’s favorite quotes were “Love You More” and “Thank You for calling,” words that reflected the warmth, gratitude, and steady kindness she offered so freely throughout her life.
