Leonarda "Lala" Garcia Morales

Leonarda “Lala” Garcia Morales, 90, was called home Tuesday, October 24, 2017.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00a.m., Saturday, October 28, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Benji as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7:00p.m., with a rosary at 6:00p.m., Friday, October 27, at Connally Compton Funeral Directors.

Lala was born May 25, 1927 to Eujloia and Pedro Garcia in Otto, Texas. She was married to Alexander John Morales for many years. Lala enjoyed crafts, tending to her plants, dancing and eating out with family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alexander John Morales; son-in-law, Billy Teague; brothers, Joe Garcia, Eli Garcia and Edward Garcia; great-grandson, Augustine John Camargo and great-great-granddaughter, Callie Tullos.

Survivors include her children, Lou Teague, George Alex Morales, Rudy Dennis Morales and Sintia “Cindy” Puente and husband Moises; sister, Isabel Gomez and husband Pete; 6 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Billy Anderson, Greg Teague, Robert Ursua, Jr., Ricardo Guerra, Peter Garcia, and Keith Walton, Jr.
