Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00a.m., Friday, August 25, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Rosemound Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00p.m., with a Rosary at 6:00p.m., Thursday, August 24, at Connally Compton Funeral Directors.
Manuel was born August 22, 1945 to Manuel and Tomasa (Julian) Velásquez in Mexico. He was a Carpenter by trade and in his spare time he enjoyed watching movies, repairing things, and the great outdoors. Manuel was a funny, outgoing man who loved spending time with his family and friends.
Manuel is preceded in death by his parents and two sister.
Survivors include his daughters, Belinda Velásquez, Marina Velásquez and Claudia Velásquez; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, four sisters and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Manuel will be missed by all who had the opportunity to know and love him.
