Pas Pat P. Palacio Gonzales

Pas P. “Pat” Gonzales, 78, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2010. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 25, 2010 at St. Francis Catholic Church, 315 Jefferson Avenue, with Father Roman A. Burgos, Celebrant. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, October 24, 2010 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors Chapel with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. and a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. by Deacon Jessie Garza.

Pat was born September 26, 1932 in Waco, Texas to Pete Sr. and Elaria (Chavez) Palacio. On October 18, 1958 she married the love of her life, Joe G. Gonzales. Pat enjoyed camping, spending time outdoors, and tending to her flowers. Her time with her great grandsons gave her many loving memories and happiness.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Padilla; and brother, David Palacio.

Those left behind to cherish Pat’s memory are her loving husband of 52 years, Joe G. Gonzales; daughters, Jo Ann Carrizales and husband, Bobby, Janet G. Caramanian and husband, Neal; brothers, Mike Palacio, Pete Palacio Jr. and wife, Mabel; sisters, Sandra Flores and husband, Pete, Lucy Ramirez and husband, Joe, Lillie Day and husband, Jack, Irene Garcia; grandchildren, Sabrina Cisneros and husband, Roman, Sarina Carrizales, Bobby Joe Carrizales, Mikaella Sanchez, Breanna Sanchez; great grandchildren, Santana Cisneros, Abram Cisneros, Maddux Wheeler; her other family, Leigh, Peter, Benjamin, and Caleb Canning; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Alex Ancira, Josh Boehme, Benjamin Canning, Micah Carrizales, Paul David Garcia Jr., and Randall Herrera.

The family would like to acknowledge the staff of Providence Hospice, 4th North Nursing Station, Methodist Dallas Medical Center, and Amedisys Home Health Care for the love and care given to Pat.
