Ramona Joyce Chavers, 75, went to be with her Lord, Thursday, Jan 12, 2012. Services will be Saturday, Jan 14, 11 am at Connally-Compton Funeral Directors in Waco. The Reverend Brad Brittain will offciate. The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to service time.
Ramona was born Nov 20, 1936 in North Dakota to Roman and Minnie Gornowicz. She was an active member of Central United Method Church in Waco and loved the outdoors working in her yard.
She was preceded in death by her parents Minnie & Roman Gornowicz, sister Rosemary Erickson and brothers Eugene and Irvin Gornowicz.
She is survived by husband Joseph D. Chavers, children Paul Danford and wife Debra, Tim Danford and wife Patricia and Kathy Berg and husband Darrell, step children: James Chavers and wife Carolyn, Barbara Simpson and husband Ronnie, Patricia Chavers and Nancy Kiefer and husband Howard. Grandchildren: Matthew Danford, Kristin Sissom and husband James, Drew Danford, Steven Danford and wife Jenna, Scott Berg and wife Emily, Cody Berg, Brittany Berg, Jeremy Chavers, Jeffery Chavers, Cassandra, Antoinette and Michelle. She had numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Ramona will be missed by family and friends.
