Funeral will be held Monday, October 16th at 11:00 AM at Connally Compton in Waco. Burial to follow at Younger Cemetery in Purdon, Tx.
Scott was born December 11, 1962 in Waco, Tx. He graduated from Jefferson Moore High School in 1981. He served in the Army 1981-1983. He graduated from T. S. T. C. with degrees in air conditioning and heating repair and airplane mechanics. Scott was a person who could fix anything. He loved his family, animals, science fiction, especially anything Star Wars. He also loved Jeopardy. He was very smart and had a very big heart.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ford and Edna Dempsey and his stepfather, Mark Curtin.
He is survived by his mother Freta Smith and stepfather Clayton Smith, siblings, Steven Byers, Cheryl Byers, Robert Byers, Lori St. John and Zahna Colvin and he was the guardian of Christopher Maddux.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Waco Humane Society.
