Marvin En Pin Shim, 71, of Kula, Maui, passed away on December 13, 2016, at Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born on May 13, 1945, in Kula. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2016, at Ballard Family Mortuary; service will begin at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will also be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2016, at St. John’s Episcopal Church; service will begin at 10:00 a.m.; burial will follow at the church cemetery.Marvin retired from Hawaiian Telephone Company and Costco. He was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Hannah Fong Shim. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Ventula Shim; son, Christopher (Gioia) Shim; grandchildren, Gianna, Anthony, Noelani and Lilly; godchildren, Courtney & Drew Honda, Brandon & Krystal Shim; siblings, Roland (Barbara) Shim, Lester (Janet) Shim, Michael (Norene) Shim; nieces, nephews; and Fong and Shim Relatives.
