Tom grew up in Cortland, Ohio graduating in 1970 from Lakeview High School. He was active in sports and the Boy Scouts.
He continued his education at Kent State University earning degree in industrial arts. While there, he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity serving as president. Tom went on to establish a successful business (Maui Wood Doors) in Kahului, Maui.
Tom had many friends because of his kind and gentle personality. He leaves behind his children, Robin (Tristan) White and Jonathan (Kylee) Ellway. Six grandchildren whom he adored; Jasper, Maile-Rose, Lilian and Sean White, Ember and Aroura Ellway. He also leaves a sister, Patricia (Louis) DeMarco, one brother, Kevin (Teresa) Ellway and one niece, Emily Ellway.
Tom will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
