Wilfred "Sonny" Martin Scales Jr, 54, of Waihee, Maui, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Maui Memorial Medical Center, Wailuku. Borthwick Norman's Mortuary is assisting with the arrangements. Sonny was born on May 7, 1957 in Honolulu and was employed as a Chief Cook for the Merchant Marines. He is predeceased by his father, Wilfred M. Scales Sr; survived by his wife, Sandra "Sandy" R. Scales; his mother, Leatrice H. Scales; two sisters, Ululani (Glen) Correa and Monica (Lance) Takayama; two nephews, Jake (Kellee) Yasui and Jorden Yasui; plus five grand nephews and nieces.
