Edith Smith

Edith Smith, age 81, of Millbury, died Tuesday, November 8, 2011, in St. Vincent-Mercy Hospital. She was born on April 12, 1930 in Maumee, to Gladwyn and Marguerite (Coopman) McConihay. She married Donald Smith in Toledo on December 30, 1961. Edith was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Millbury.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Baker; son-in-law, Ronald Walker; and sisters, Judith Syzmanski, Carol (Bruce) Kelly and Jane Brown. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald.

Friends will be received on Friday, November 11, 2011 from 2-4 & 6-8pm in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home 701 N. Main St. Walbridge (419-666-3121). Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 12, 2011 at 10:00 am in St. Peter’s United Church of Christ 28505 Main St. Millbury, Ohio 43447. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St. Peter’s UCC or Toledo Humane Society.
