He was the husband of Sheila A. Cox to whom he had been married for 45 years.
He was born in Kinston, NC, son of the late Roland and Helen Cox.
After serving in the National Guard he enlisted in the U.S. Navy 21 May, 1958. He retired from the Navy in 1979 as Chief Petty Officer. After retirement he worked and retired from the U.S. Postal Service.
Funeral services will be held at Maryland Veterans’ Cemetery in Cheletenham, Maryland on Wednesday October 16, 2013 at 10:00am.
