Billy W. Boatman, Army Veteran and member of Mid Atlantic Carpenters Union, died January 12, 2022. He was born in Marlow Oklahoma and moved to Maryland in 1962. He met and married (proceeded in death) Hazel Marie Gentry (Patterson) Boatman. Also proceeded are his two sons Traye W Boatman and Scott L. Boatman and Brothers “Buck" Melvin Boatman.
He is survived by his loving sister Loren Roach and brother Harvey “Buck” Boatman of Oklahoma. Three sons Rusty M Boatman, John L Patterson and Demetrious E Patterson.
He will fondly be remembered as “popop” to his grandchildren and great grand kids. In his earlier years he enjoyed Boating with his children and was always up for a good card game, especially Texas Hold’em.
In place of flowers, the family request that donations be made in his honor to Parkinsons Foundation at Parkinsons.org.
No memorial service will be held at this time and his burial will be honored at Cheltenham VA Cemetery on Feb 8, 2022 at 11:00am.
