George W. Kiessling, born July 12, 1930, passed away of natural causes on August 6, 2018. He was born in Washington DC to George and Lillian Kiessling. He was proceeded in death by brother Charles Kiessling and sisters Edna and Shirley.
George was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His quick wit and mischievous humor brought quick smiles to all who knew him. He was a fantastic artist and handyman and taught all of his grandsons how to do most anything. He was a devoted employee of Carters Industrial Laundry for over 30 years. His Faith in God and Family will define his memory for years to come. He loved the Lord and served as a Deacon in his church for many years.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Gloria, and is survived by daughters Sharon Kiessling, Deborah Mooney and her husband Patrick, Cinderella Soper and her husband Bill, and Kimberly Wilkerson. He is also survived by grandchildren Teri Long and her wife Tina, Brian Adams and his wife Karen, Billy and Chris Meador and wife Jessica, James Wilkerson, Jr. and his wife Stephanie, Mike and Chris Mooney and his wife Kymbrye, great-grandchildren Jeremiah Soper, Tré, Max and Gauge Wilkerson, Jackson Meador, Ryan and Matthew Meador, and Bexlye Mooney. He was also preceded in death by Grandsons Billy and Wesley Soper.
