James Coleman Jr.

James Coleman, Jr. died December 10, 2010 at his residence in Waldorf, Maryland at the age of 77. James retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1972 and also retired from Prince Georges Public Works in 1998. He started his third career at Home Depot where he worked until his death. His hobbies included collecting coins, comic books and collectible toys as he was a kid at heart. James was born June 26, 1933 in the Philippines. He was the son of the late James Coleman and Basilla Mungcal. Survivors include: Children: Jordan Coleman, Phillip Coleman, Valerie Long, Judith Coleman and Bernardine Dooley. His 16 grandchildren: Erick Gary, Shavonne Gary, Jessica Gary, Isabelle Coleman, Madeline Coleman, Ricardo Coleman, Taylor Coleman, Tiffany Levy, Amber Levy, Vincent Long, John Long, Truly Long, Bethany Long, Alex Long, Joseph Long, and Tanae Long, 1 Great-grandchild: Christian Levy and Brother Bobbie Coleman. Visitation will be at New Life Church, LaPlata, Maryland on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 from 10:00 to time of funeral service at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Maryland Veterans' Cemetery, Cheltenham, Maryland. Pastor Mike Hilson will officiate.
