John Thomas died June 11, 2010 at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C. John was 67. After 44 years of faithful and dedicated service, he retired from the U.S. Government Printing Office in September of 2009. He was in the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam.Born September 24, 1942 in Washington, D.C.. Survivors include: Wife Constance, brother: Otis Thomas, Sr., Sons Kevin Mitchell and Demond Thompson, Daughters: Rebecca Proctor, Lillian Thompson, Yolanda Harper and Lenora Thompson, grandchildren: 12 and great-grandchildren: 2. Visitation will be on Monday, June 21, 2-4 and 6-8 PM at The Huntt Funeral Home, 3035 Old Washington Road, Waldorf, Maryland 20601, where funeral service will be on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 @ 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Maryland Veterans' Cemetery, Cheltenham, Maryland. Rev. Malcom Reeves will officate.
