Our deepest condolences to Meridith, Melanie, Michael and Families from David and Ruth Phillips.  We knew and valued Tom's friendship at Naval Research Laboratory where we worked and from the seventies, eighties and nineties as members of Davies Memorial Unitarian Universalist Church.  Tom was a Board Chair at Davies during the eighties. Our families grew up together. We remember Melanie's wedding in Dec. 1991 and Michael's coming home from college for it and their Mother, Marion, who was battling cancer living to see it. Tom and Meridith were active in Davies Concert Series. Meridith played the bagpipes for Fundraisers and Tom was treasurer for 10 years until 2014 when he turned the position over to Ruth Phillips.
