Catherine Francis Wolfsberger

Kaye was born April 17, 1936 in Wapato, WA to George Sanchey, Sr. and Florence Ownups.

Kaye lived most of her life in White Swan, WA. She graduated from White Swan High School, and Cosmetology School in Tacoma, WA. Kaye married Terry L. Wolfsberger and moved to St. Louis, MO, where she raised her three children. In 1980, she moved back home to the White Swan area to live out her life. Kaye loved family get-togethers and started a Sanchey Family Reunion, which has grown each year. She loved to cook, sew, and camp in the mountains.

Kaye is survived by her son, Terry A. (Lisa) Wolfsberger of White Swan, WA; daughters, Kim Wolfsberger (Pierce) of White Swan, WA and Leslie Fine (Jay) of Yakima, WA; brothers, George (Charolette) Sanchey, Sr. of Klickitat, WA, Earl Sanchey of Wapato, WA, John Sanchey, Roger (Peggy) Sanchey and Carroll Sanchey all of White Swan, WA, and Willie Joe Sanchey of Wapato, WA; sisters, Mari Varner (Gary) of Siletz, OR, Sandi Palmer (Carroll) of Wapato, WA, Denise Lettig (Mike) of Sammamish, WA, and Angelie Hert (Jerry) of Wapato, WA; four grandchildren, Terry (Darla) Wolfsberger, Jr., David (Jennifer) Fine, Denny Nagle, and Danika Pimms; and three great grandchildren, Shiala & Keegan Wolfsberger, and baby girl Fine. She was preceded in death by her father, George Sanchey, Sr., mother, Florence Ownups, step mother, Matilda Sanchey, and brother, Cecil Sanchey, Sr.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday April 8, 2011 at Merritt Funeral Home in Wapato, WA. Burial will follow in the Union Gap Cemetery.
