

Ralph “The Hunter” Facio, 67, of Wapato passed away September 16, 2012 in Yakima, WA. He was born on August 27, 1945 in Brownstown, WA. to Crescencio and Margarita Facio. Ralph attended school in Wapato.
As an adult Ralph worked the in rice mills in Sacramento, CA. While living in California he worked for grocery warehouses and at the Port of Sacramento. Ralph also lived in Alaska and worked on the oil pipe line and the fishing boats. His greatest work accomplishment was returning to school and getting a degree in the culinary arts. He was proud to have cooked for former governor Dixie Lee Ray
and for the Native American community. He was an honorary member of the Yakama Warriors Association. When not at work Ralph loved to spend his time with his family, hunt and fish, play baseball and shoot pool.
Ralph is survived by his daughter Andera T. Zagelow; brothers Lupe Martinez, Ernie Facio, Jim Facio, Chris Facio Jr., Larry Facio, John Facio, Joe Facio, Ben Facio, and Ken Facio; sisters Theresa Ortega, Patty Gonzales, and Mary Munoz; and grandchildren Kaige and Kaity Zagelow.
He was preceded in death by his parents Crescencio and Margarita Facio; sister Dora Facio; and brothers Lutedio and Maximio Facio.
A Dressing Service will be held at Merritt Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 27, 2012 with visitation to follow. After the visitation there will be a Rosary Service at 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 28, 2012 also at Merritt Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Reservation Community Memorial Park.
