Alexander D. Lehotsky, age 84, long-time resident of Mount Clemens, Michigan passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025. Al was born on August 30, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan to Alexander and Noami Lehotsky (nee Azzopardi).
A true car enthusiast, Al loved everything about automobiles—old and new. He spent countless hours restoring classic cars, attending car shows, and cruising with fellow enthusiasts. His mechanical talent extended beyond cars; he was a master tinkerer and could fix just about anything around the house. If something was broken, Al could—and would—make it right.
He loved the hum of Detroit sports, cheering on his hometown baseball and football teams through every season. A slice of Jet’s Pizza and a game on TV made for a perfect day. He enjoyed bowling and card games with his beloved wife and her family, and he cherished trips to Soaring Eagle and Greektown Casino, where laughter and luck often met.
Al proudly served his country in the Navy and brought that same dedication into everything he did. He had an extensive collection of T-shirts, each with a story, and he always had a fish tank—fish were his quiet companions over the years.
More than anything, Al loved his grandchildren, who brought endless joy and pride to his life. His love, wisdom, and wit will be missed deeply but remembered with great warmth.
Al is the beloved husband of 48 years to the late Sylvia Lehotsky (nee Birk). The loving father of Kerri (Brian) Wojcik and Kelli (Dennis) O’Neil. The cherished papa of Olivia Palmer, Zakk Wojcik, and Alexis O’Neil. Dear brother of Paulette, Charlotte, Donna, and the late Jeanette. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
A memorial visitation for Al will be held Saturday, May 24, 2025, from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 3:00 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd, Warren, Michigan 48088.
In lieu of flowers any donations made in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project would be deeply appreciated.
