

Amelia M. Pilot, "Marion" (nee: McCann), of Warren, age 79, died Monday, May 14, 2012 at Medilodge of Sterling Heights.Marion was born June 17, 1932 in Detroit the daughter of the late Edward and the late Stella (nee: Wojciechowski) McCann.Marion strived to live out the meaning of her name 'Work of the Lord.' She did this by not only living out her faith for many years at St. Dorothy Catholic Church, but by the love and care she had for her family. In fact her family and grand children were the apple of her eye. It could be said that this is why she chose to be a stay at home mother, and not only care for her children but also babysat for her nieces and nephews. One of the motherly skills that Marion honed as a mother was cooking. She was known for her signature dish of mostaccioli. Marion also loved working crossword puzzles and to watch court shows on TV. She is survived by her daughters, Carol (Terry) Rutley and Renee (Jim) Wickersham; grandchildren, Andrew, Eric, Luke, and Mark; sister, Margaret Ulbrik. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Marion is predeceased by her husband, Ivan.Visitation for Mrs. Pilot will be held Thursday 3-9 pm with a 6:30 pm rosary service at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ' Mile Road). She will lie in state Friday 11:30 am until the time of her funeral Mass at 12:00 pm at St. Teresa of Avila - St. Dorothy Campus. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.Please share memories at Marion's guest book.
