

Anita J. Babin, age 79, died Monday, March 9, 2015 in Macomb, Michigan. She was born June 30, 1935 in Detroit, daughter of the late Cyril J. White and the late Viola A. (nee: Piper) White.Anita worked as the Head Savings Teller for the Manufacturers National Bank in Detroit. It was there that she met the love her life, George. George was a regular visitor to Anita's bank window. The two would join in holy matrimony on June 4, 1960. In 1961, Anita and George built their own home. The two would raise their children there and forge a lifetime of memories in their home. Anita would stay in the home until February 20th of this year.Anita was a woman of deep faith. From their early days of marriage until today, she and George would strive to grow and nurture their faith together. Anita served the Lord her entire life and devoted countless hours to prayer, lifting up the needs of many who would bring her their requests. She truly possessed a servant's heart and emanated a genuine care & compassion that impacted numerous hearts and lives in her journey through life. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will never be forgotten, and will lovingly be remembered with each reflection shared. She will be missed immensely and loved eternally. Anita was the loving wife of the late George who preceded her in death in 2004. She was the dear mother of Brian (Cynthia) Babin and Joyce (Michael) Kaganac. Beloved sister of Violet Murphy, and the late Gloria Schommer who died in March of 1999. Treasured grandmother of Ashley (Andrew) Hack, Leah Kaganac, Brandon (Heather) Babin, Nathan Kaganac, Eric Babin, Kevin Babin and Hannah Kaganac. She is also survived by her great-granddaughter, Anastasia Hack, whom she met for the first time just a few days before she died.Visitation for Anita will be held Thursday, March 12th from 3 – 9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Rd) in Warren. She will lie in state on Friday, March 13, 2015 from 10:00 am until the time of her funeral service at 11:00 am at The Woods Church , 14300 E. 13 Mile Road, Warren.
